We don’t recommend it. Nighttime pulling can stress the elastic; hot water and detergents shorten the life of elastic and metal finishes.

Elastic ages with wear and environment. If it breaks within 6 months of normal use, we offer one free restring (shipping at cost). After that, paid repair is available.
